STEM with Mr Rankin - Wednesday 29 June

STEM with Mr Rankin - Wednesday 29 June

The students had a wonderful day sewing with Mr Rankin and the helpers from Room 4.
They made bookmarks.  The students used wool and a plastic needle and went in and out of the holes to make a pattern with the wool.  Mr Rankin sewed two pieces of material on either side and the students put a button on the top.
They all worked so hard.  Thank you to the helpers who worked with the students.
Here are some photos of what they did today:

Here are some of the finished bookmarks.  They are AMAZING!!!!!

Junior Breakfast and Activity Day - Thursday 9 June

Junior Breakfast Day and Activity Day - Thursday 9 June

We had such an exciting day today because we all came to school in our pyjamas and had breakfast together.
We had cereal, toast and a drink of water.  Mr Kirkham and Mrs Yates came in to say good morning to us.
The students washed their dishes and then brushed their teeth. Then they got changed and were ready for their day of learning.
They made their own kites and this was to celebrate Matariki.  After that we went to the hall and had fun using the parachute and working on an obstacle course.  In the afternoon they drew some pictures of all the things we did today.
Tomorrow we will fly our kites because in the afternoon it started to rain.
What fun it is having breakfast together.
Enjoy looking at all the photos.
