It is starting to get a little chilly, especially in the morning.  Autumn is here!

The students found out about the season autumn and wrote about what happens during that time of the year.

Today Room 4 went on the stage and showed their writing and picture about being a superhero.  They also shared their superhero stick figure.  Brianna, Emily, Brian and Peyton shared their superhero writing as well.

Music with Mrs Clark

 Wednesday 12 March

Today the students went to Mrs Clark's music session and they had so much fun working together.

Enjoy looking at the photos and the video of the children using the musical instruments.  They were so proud of what they achieved today.

Meeting Constable Wayne Scott

 Meeting Constable Wayne Scott - Thursday 27 February

Constable Wayne Scott came to talk to us about his job.  He is a policeman and he works in Ellerslie.  Wayne told us that he like helping people.  He enjoys keeping people safe on the road and in their houses.  Wayne told us that some of the tools that he carries with him are his phone, a radio, a flashlight and a baton.   He cares for people when they are upset.  Wayne told us that he is part of a team.

After he talked to the Year 2 students Room 4 had a turn at asking Wayne questions and we had a look at his police car.  Please ask your child what questions they asked Wayne and the answers that Wayne told us to their questions.

Auckland Cricket Association

 Auckland Cricket Association - Thursday 27 February 

Today Room 4 met Gwen from the Auckland Cricket Association.  We played Snowball Tag and then with a partner we played Bridges.  We had so much fun.

Today Skye from the Auckland Cricket Association came to work with the students in Room 4.  We met Skye on the field and she worked with the students today on two games.  One was tag and the other one the students needed to throw the soft balls over the hoops.
