Room 4 visited the Science Road Show. It was such an exciting experience for us all.
We found out that:
*sound travels through the air by vibrations
*the higher the frequency, the higher the sound
*there is a difference in the pitch between bigger and smaller drums
*soundwaves bounce around
Then we visited a variety of science stations to learn about more science ideas.
These stations were:
measuring speed
looking at levers
gear changes
communicating by touch
the frequencies we can hear
inside your body
the power of falling water
squeezing water along
vibrations make waves
adding colours to give us a new colour
different surfaces that have different levels of friction
