A Visit from Sally Sutton

 A Visit from Sally Sutton - Wednesday 14 May

Today Sally Sutton came to talk to the Junior classes.  She is an author and she read some of her books to us.  The first one she read was 'The Cat from Muzzle'.  It is about a high-country cat's incredible walk home.  It takes Sally about three months to write a book.  If it is a picture book she uses pencil and paper and if it is a chapter book she uses a computer to write it.  She showed us her book called 'Crazy Kiwi Tops and Tails' and Sally told us that was her favourite book.  Sally told us that she was six years old when she knew that she wanted to be an author.  She read 'The Machine Boggie' and as Sally read it we all stood up and did some dancing.  Sally mentioned that a good story must have a problem.  The problem might be that you are stuck, late or lost.
