Cricket

Today we worked with a cricket expert.  He told us that we had to remember two rules.  Firstly to listen really carefully and to have lots of fun.  We worked on catching and throwing a ball to a partner and then we had to clap our hands before we caught the ball.  We divided into two teams.  One team were the fielders and the other team had turns hitting the ball.  We had so much fun playing t-ball.
At the end of the session our cricket expert mentioned that we listened so carefully to instructions and he could tell we had lots of fun.

On Friday 12 July we had 'Wacky Hair and Hat Day'.  It was such an exciting day.
Have a look at the children in Room 4.

Assembly Item

Some of the children in Room 4 read their poems about colours and weather.  They all look very proud of themselves.

Weather Poems

The children enjoyed writing poetry about the weather.  They had to think of adjectives, nouns and verbs when organising thier ideas.
The children were really proud of their work.

Making Toys

The children had the opportunity to make some toys.  We had lots of fun.

They used cardboard circles, coloured them in a variety of colours and the  string was tied around them.  The children loved winding them up and making them spin.

They made some patterns around a cup and attached a piece of string to the bottom of it.  Then a soft ball was put at the other end.  The children enjoyed trying to get the ball into the cup.
