Using laptops, chromebooks and iPads in Room 4

The students enjoy using devices to support their learning. Some students were working on Mathletics and others were using the iPads to work on number combinations.

Mrs Tanner's Last Day Today - Friday 16 April

Today was Mrs Tanner's last day at Point View School. She has worked at Point View School for 14 years in the office and has done a wonderful job.

Room 4 presented a card to Mrs Tanner with pictures of us all so she can remember us forever. We told her how special she is to us and that we will miss her.

Today we had an assembly for Mrs Tanner and she was given a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Then at about 2:45 the whole school sang songs with Mrs Tanner outside in the Junior area.

Bye Mrs Tanner, please remember to come back and see us.

Buddy Reading - Friday 16 April

Today we met our Year 5 buddy class outside in the sunshine. The students in Room 4 read their Term 1 poems to their buddy. They also wished their buddy a wonderful holiday.

We will see them next term.

Constable Ian's visit to Room 4 - Thursday 15 April

Today Constable Ian came to visit Room 4.

He told us that using a crossing is a very important skill to learn. Using a crossing gets you to school safely. There are three golden rules when we use a crossing:

STOP on the footpath.

LOOK left and right for cars.

LISTEN for cars.

There are lots of different traffic, all shapes and sizes. It is important to use the zebra crossings.

We must use our eyes and ears before we use our feet.

We went outside with Constable Ian and used the crossing. We had to wait until the road patrol monitor said, 'CROSS NOW' and then we walked between the lines.
