Our Trip to the Auckland Zoo

What a fantastic trip we had to the Auckland Zoo.  When we arrived we were met by the people at the zoo and we went to the Central Lawn.  We had morning tea and then we moved into our groups and had a look around at all the animals.  Then the educators took Room 4 to the forest where we looked at a variety of birds.  Some of the birds we discussed were the bellbird, tui, saddleback, wood pigeon.  After that we went to visit the penguins.  Our educator told us alot about them as well.

Buddy Reading

We have a buddy class and it is Room 27.  These are Year 5 students.
Each child in Room 4 has a Year 5 buddy and it is a wonderful opportunity for them to get together and read to each other.  We do this on a Friday for half and hour.
