Kiwiball - 20/6/17

What a fun morning we had.
Coach Marko taught the children the kids version of baseball.  We looked at the bases and ran around them and then looked at the bat.  It is important to have your feet apart when you are batting and your hands together at the bottom of the bat, in line with the ball.  Our two teams were Sharks and Dolphins.  One team was fielding and the other team was batting.  It was fun cheering each other on and the children had lots of fun.

Cultural Week

What an exciting week we have had.
We read lots of books about different cultures and talked about our own culture.  We made an origami dog and coloured it in.  We went to buddy reading and learnt a new dance from Samoa.  On Friday we came to school in our traditional costumes or colours that show our culture.  We even looked on a map of the world to find out where these amazing countries are.
We had so much fun.
