Cultural Week

 Cultural Week - Monday 11 September - Friday 15 September

What a very exciting week we had as it was Cultural Week.  The students talked about where they were from and they shared some words from their culture and we learned so much from each other.  They also involved themselves in some lunchtime activities and they got to learn about other cultures throughout our world.  On Friday we came to school in clothing from our culture and some students came to school in the colours of their flag.  We had a full School Cultural Assembly, it was a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other.

At the end of the day the students took home a flag of the country where they are from and they waved it with pride.

STEM with Mr Rankin

 Stem with Mr Rankin - Thursday 14 September

The students in Room 4 worked with Mr Rankin on the inquiry topic floating and sinking.  They were involved with a range of activities to work in small groups and this provided a lot of discussion.  Tyler and his dad designed a boat with propellers and this was tested at school, it moved extremely well across the water.

Thank you to the parents who were able to come and support the programme, it was very much appreciated.
