Buddy Reading with Room 24 - Thursday 22 June

Today we met our buddy class.  They are students from Room 24 and they are Year 6.

They came to our class and in pairs they read a word from the list and found a picture of it on their large

sheet.

The students all have a wonderful morning, working together with their very special buddy.

Te Reo with Mrs Gibson

Te Reo with Mrs Gibson - Tuesday 13 June

Today Mrs Gibson shared a song about the days of the week and the children enjoyed singing it.  She read two books, one about seasons and the other about the weather.  The students were involved in an activity where they had to match the season picture with the word.  Then they worked on matching the weather pictures to the words in Maori.

We enjoy working with Mrs Gibson each week.

Te Reo with Mrs Gibson

 Te Reo with Mrs Gibson

Today we found out how to say our feelings in Maori.  We shared how we felt in Maori with a partner.
Then we learned about the days of the week and we sang a song about this.  We discovered how to say each day of the week.  We did an activity with a small group to match the days of the week.
We are really enjoying working with Mrs Gibson.

Drama with Mrs Oldham

Drama with Mrs Oldham - 25/5/23

Mrs Oldham came into the class and worked with the students.  They enjoyed listening to the story, 'The Giant Jam Sandwich'.   They talked about how the villagers were feeling and how their facial expressions changed when the wasps arrives.  Each child created a character who could work in the village.  They held a class meeting with Mrs Oldham as the Mayor and they enjoyed working on a range of activities.
