She talked about the ABC rule:
A= Ask
Ask the owner if you can pat the dog.
B= Back
Only touch the dog on the side or back of the dog, not their head or under the chin.
C= Cherry Tree
If a dog comes near you and you feel afraid, stand like a cherry tree.
Hold your elbows, look at your feet and be very still.
Please ask your child about what they learned today about being safe around dogs.
