What a wonderful trip we had today.
Motat is such an exciting place as there is so much for us to see.
Our main focus was to look at toys of the past and compare them with toys of today. We also had the opportunity to view other areas of MOTAT.
After morning tea we explored the MOTAT exhibitions. This gave us an understanding of how toys work e.g. pulleys, levers, wheels and axle. We were given a poster and we went on a scavenger hunt. We looked at the schoolhouse, the fire station, the village and the powerhouse. After lunch we went for a ride on the tram and that was so much fun. Then we explored Simply Machines and Get Smart Exhibitions. Finally we went into the classroom and one of the educators talked about the toys of the past. We were so lucky to play with these toys and find out how they worked.
