Term 2 - Book Week Monday 3/5/21 - Friday 7/5/21
This week the students were involved in Book Week. On Monday they guessed the teachers favourite picture book. On Tuesday they met Stu Duval in the hall. He is an author and illustrator. Stu showed the students how to draw cartoons starting with a letter or a number. On Wednesday Mrs Coomes who is a Year 5 teacher read one of her favourite books to Room 4. On Thursday Tamsin Worsley who is a poet came to Point View School to talk to the children. On Friday the children dressed up as their favourite book character and we had a parade in the hall in the morning.
Enjoy looking at the photos of our work with Stu Duval:
Stu asked a question and Kelsey answered the question correctly so Room 4 got to take Stu's work back to our classroom. Thanks Kelsey!
Here is some of the work that the students in Room 4 did:
Tamsin read a poem about pirates and she talked about animals at the zoo. The children stood up and did some actions to her poems. She asked us to close our eyes and imagine an object above our head. She read poems about the beach, going camping and visiting a planet.
