They showed Maui and his brothers going to find the sun so they could slow it down as the days were too short. Maui made flax ropes and set off on his adventure. A bird came along and he told Maui to not give up. The fish told Maui to not be afraid to get someone to help. The tuatara told Maui to go slowly and to have a plan. They got to where the sun was and Maui used the ropes to slow down the sun. Everybody clapped and danced. From that day Maui and the other people in the village could enjoy their day as they had plenty of time to do their jobs.
