After morning tea we met our buddy class and went orienteering. Orienteering means having a map to search for things.
With the help of a map we had to find the controls. Controls are sticks in the ground with number tags and dot pattern stamps at the top. When we found a control we checked the number and recorded it by putting a dot pattern on our score sheet. The dot patterns from the stamp are all different so we know from our score sheet that we have been to all of the controls. We had to find six controls.
It was lots of exciting fun because we had to look carefully around our school for the six controls.
